Microsoft Dynamics GP 10.0 user interface enhancements transform people’s ability to access role-specific information and take action on daily tasks. People can work quickly and well using the Action Panes, intuitive, graphical command bars inspired by the ribbon in the 2007 Microsoft Office system. Action Panes appear across all navigation lists, showing commands specific to the data contained within a list and eliminating the need to open multiple windows to perform a task. Action Panes enable users to:
- View a list of records relevant to their role or task, select one or more records, and then perform an action against all selected records.
- Modify list views and save the preferences, as well as create lists for others to use.
- Print report options that are specific to the lists being viewed
When deployed with Office SharePoint® Server 2007, Microsoft Dynamics GP 10.0 delivers straightforward, flexible workflow capabilities that make it easy to automate notification and approval processes:
- Helps people to collaborate systematically and flexibly on tasks such as purchase order approvals.
- Enables users to receive automatic notifications through Office Outlook® 2007, Office SharePoint Server 2007, or the Microsoft Dynamics GP home page, that prompt them to approve, reject, or take other actions for a document or batch.
- Supports out-of-the-box workflows for six key business scenarios. Solution partners and customers can create additional workflow processes.

- Users can now perform ad hoc queries with Office Excel® reports, based on more than 175 SmartList favorites, and instantly refresh them at any time.
- A component of Office SharePoint Server 2007, Excel Services enables centralized, Web-based storage and management for Office Excel–based reports, spreadsheets, and Microsoft PivotTable® dynamic views.
- Customizable SQL Server™ 2005 Reporting Services reports and report pack templates provide new flexibility and features for report writing.
- The Microsoft Dynamics GP Report Scheduler has been updated to enable report publication to Office SharePoint Server 2007 Report Libraries.
